Kelly Clarkson, an American songwriter and singer was born in 1982 on 24th April. She began rising to in 2002 and it was facilitated by the popular show American idol. She was the first winner of the first season of the show which aired the same air. Her debut album titled “A Moment like This” was the top single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and was termed the best selling single of the year in the United States.
Miss Clarkson released her debut album in 2003 which was titled “Thankful”. It sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide and was certified 2 times platinum. The single “Miss Independent” from the album was an instant international hit and from it she earned her first Grammy nomination. Her second studio album “Breakaway” sold over 15 million copies internationally and earned her two Grammy nominations.
In over a decade as a musician, Kelly Clarkson has amassed 91 number-one on the Billboard Charts and eleven worldwide number-one singles. Her songs mainly cover themes such as independence, heartbreak and women empowerment. She has also featured in several screen appearances in film and television. A musical film titled “From Justin to Kelly” was her first trial in film and television productions. She has also appeared on “The Voice” as a guest advisor and as a judge on “Duets”.
Clarkson has won a number of awards including three in MTV Video Music Awards and three more from Grammy Awards.
